This ultra-lightweight plinth is covered in high-pressure laminate (HPL), contributing to a reduction in unwanted resonance and vibrations. The turntable employs double brace technology, with a ceramic top brace and phenolic resin bottom brace, strategically placed for optimal rigidity between the tonearm mounting and the central bearing, creating a structurally sound and vibration-free platform.

At the heart of the Planar 10 is the RB3000 tonearm, Rega's finest to date, featuring a precision-engineered bearing assembly that ensures friction-free movement and accurate reading of even the smallest grooves. This arm design minimizes mechanical joints, ensuring exceptional clarity and eliminating distortion for a true-to-record sound. The ceramic flywheel-effect platter provides improved mechanical integrity, offering an ultra-flat surface for consistent rotation, further supported by the low-mass central bearing assembly that eradicates energy transfer from the plinth.
