The Vivaldi Upsampler serves as the central hub of your digital audio system, transforming your listening experience with exceptional clarity. It features a wired network connection for streaming high-resolution audio files via UPnP from a computer or network storage. The additional asynchronous USB input allows direct connection to a computer, supporting high-resolution audio up to 192kHz and DSD in DoP format. With asynchronous USB mode, the Vivaldi Upsampler is immune to jitter from noisy computer clocks, ensuring pure audio playback.

As part of a complete Vivaldi system, the Upsampler delivers effortless realism, turning digital audio into a vibrant, three-dimensional, and transparent performance. It functions as a digital-to-digital converter, converting audio from any source to high-resolution DXD (352.8 or 384kS/s), DSD (2.822MS/s), or high-resolution PCM (up to 192kS/s), bringing unprecedented sonic detail and energy.

Vivaldi Upsampler is Apple Authenticated, allowing playback of iPod/iPhone-stored digital media while bypassing the internal DAC for optimal performance. It also supports USB memory hardware for added versatility. Multiple independently selectable digital inputs, including RJ45, USB, AES, S/PDIF, SDIF-2, and TOSLINK, ensure compatibility with a wide range of sources, elevating the performance of everything from Red Book CD to high-resolution audio.

A key feature of the Vivaldi Upsampler is its redesigned multi-stage Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) system, setting world-class standards for jitter control and timing accuracy, a hallmark of dCS’s pioneering use of external clocks in digital audio systems.

User control is intuitive, with options for using the full-color front panel menu, the Vivaldi Controller App, or the premium dCS remote control. The Vivaldi Controller App also enables input and volume adjustments, further simplifying operation.

The dCS ‘soft’ approach to programmable logic allows users to easily update the Vivaldi Upsampler software, ensuring compatibility with new features, performance upgrades, and evolving digital formats.

What is the warranty on dCS products?

dCS offers a 3-year limited warranty on their products, covering defects in materials and workmanship when purchased from an authorized dealer. If registered within 6 months of the original ship date, the warranty starts from the purchase date. For registrations after 6 months, the warranty begins from the ship date unless supported by the original sales invoice. In any case, the warranty starts no later than 6 months after the ship date.

Do you offer service on dCS products?

We do! In many cases we can service a still under warranty system in the home, however in rare cases we might need to bring it in for more extensive maintenance.
