Dan D'Agostino Momentum MxV Integrated Amplifier

The Momentum MxV Integrated Amplifier packs impressive power into a compact design. At its core is a 2,000VA linear transformer with unique toroidal winding technology, driving a 60,000µF capacitor bank for 250W, 500W, and 1,000W output into 8Ω, 4Ω, and 2Ω speakers. The internal circuitry filters RF noise and compensates for power anomalies, ensuring clean, efficient power.

Its dual-chassis design—one for audio and one for the power supply—uses gold-plated connectors to isolate the audio signal, maximizing performance. This construction rivals the power supply capabilities of dedicated amplifiers.

The audio section, incorporating design elements from the Relentless and Momentum series, ensures a pure signal path. New bipolar transistors deliver ten times the current and power of previous devices, improving frequency performance and reducing distortion. The driver stage includes a bias stability circuit, enhancing Class A operation and sound quality.

The output stage uses 28 high-speed transistors for stability and low-impedance performance. Each transistor is rigorously measured to ensure peak performance. Like all D’Agostino models, the Momentum MxV employs discrete, direct-coupled balanced circuitry for precise audio reproduction.
