Description

The Air Force Zero represents the pinnacle of turntable engineering, created with an unparalleled level of precision and innovation. Developed with no design constraints, this system pushes the boundaries of what a turntable can achieve, combining advanced features, state-of-the-art technology, and over 330 kg of weight to deliver extraordinary performance. The system's most impressive feature is its motor, which is based on a customized, high-torque synchronous motor sourced from the renowned German manufacturer, Papst. This motor is further enhanced with a flywheel and air bearing system, allowing for virtually frictionless rotation and near-perfect stability. The motor's precision rotation is maintained by a crystal oscillator, ensuring the most accurate and stable speed.

The Air Force Zero's motor features advanced electronics, including a Direct Digital Synthesizer (DDS) that allows for precise frequency control. Torque switching circuits increase the rotation speed during startup, and 50W power amplifiers ensure optimal performance for the motor’s three-phase drive system. This combination results in exceptional rotational precision, providing an unparalleled listening experience with minimal distortion.

The platter of the Air Force Zero is a 40 cm behemoth, made from precision-cast alloys and designed to absorb vibrations with exceptional effectiveness. The 29 kg gunmetal platter is supported by an air bearing system that allows the platter to float with a height tolerance of just 10µm. The unique air suspension system, made up of four blocks at the corners, absorbs low-frequency vibrations to keep the turntable operation silent and precise. The Air Force Zero's design includes two tonearm bases, allowing for the use of both 10" and 12" tonearms, as well as the inclusion of the highly sophisticated vacuum LP hold-down system to secure records and improve tracing accuracy.

With its massive weight, finely engineered components, and innovative design, the Air Force Zero is not just a turntable but a work of art, providing a truly unparalleled audio experience. TechDAS has created a masterpiece that brings out the best in vinyl playback, setting new standards for turntable performance and audio quality.
