At the heart of the Planar 3 is the new RB330 tonearm, crafted using the latest 3D CAD & CAM technology. Drawing on over 35 years of experience in tonearm design, the RB330 features a completely redesigned bearing housing and tonearm tube, optimized for minimal resonance and maximum stability. This precision engineering ensures friction-free movement, capturing more details from your records than ever before. The arm also includes an improved bias assembly, re-designed vertical bearing housing, and enhanced spring housing for smoother, more accurate performance. Coupled with a new low-capacitance phono cable and Neutrik plugs, the RB330 is an extraordinary tonearm for extracting every ounce of sound from your vinyl collection.

The Planar 3’s plinth is also upgraded, now featuring a high-gloss acrylic laminated finish that provides both a sturdier structure and a visually stunning appearance. The new double-brace system, with a thicker 3mm phenolic bottom brace and a new metalized skin phenolic top brace, significantly increases rigidity and prevents unwanted resonance. Rega’s newly redesigned brass main hub bearing improves fit and construction, reducing stress on the bearing for greater accuracy. Meanwhile, the re-engineered sub-platter enhances both stiffness and precision for improved overall performance.
