dCS Varèse

Varèse is dCS’s most ambitious project to date, born from years of research and innovation. Driven by the goal to create a more profound and immersive music experience, dCS’s engineering team developed new processes, products, and protocols to push the limits of audio engineering, resulting in the most advanced and intuitive music system to date.

At the heart of the system is the Core, which supports hi-res formats and major streaming services. It handles input, conversion, noise shaping, and filtering before sending signals to the Varèse Mono DACs. Utilizing dCS’s ACTUS protocol, the Core simplifies setup and delivers superior sonic performance.

The Varèse Mono DACs showcase dCS’s commitment to excellence. By creating a dedicated DAC for each audio channel and utilizing dCS’s Ring DAC and Tomix clocking protocol, they achieve ultra-low distortion, a lower noise floor, and perfect synchronization between channels, resulting in an immersive listening experience.

The Varèse Master Clock ensures timing accuracy, improving imaging, focus, and presence. Using ACTUS and Tomix protocols, it delivers the lowest jitter and the most accurate clocking signal for optimal performance.

The Varèse User Interface, paired with the Remote Control and dCS Mosaic ACTUS app, offers an intuitive experience with a full-color touch screen that displays album art, track data, and customizable views. It connects via Bluetooth LE and integrates with UPnP control point renderers and servers.

The ergonomically designed Varèse Remote Control features backlit touch icons and a capacitive touch screen for easy operation. It charges via USB-C and connects via Bluetooth for seamless control over the system.

The new dCS Mosaic ACTUS app simplifies browsing, setup, and playback control, offering an intuitive experience to maximize your enjoyment.

ACTUS is a unique interface that connects Varèse components with a single cable running from the Core to each unit, simplifying setup while enhancing performance.

The Differential Ring DAC, an enhancement of dCS’s original Ring DAC, improves linearity, lowers the noise floor, and enhances sound, delivering greater presence and immediacy.

dCS Tomix, a patented clocking technology, ensures perfect synchronization between the Mono DACs, maintaining precision and maximizing the sonic benefits of the Mono DAC configuration.
