The Olympica Nova I bookshelf speaker is a refined and powerful embodiment of Sonus faber’s commitment to acoustic perfection and timeless design. Building on the legacy of the Olympica collection, the Nova I takes the iconic family into a new era, featuring the most advanced technologies while remaining deeply rooted in the values that have made Sonus faber renowned worldwide. Designed to seamlessly integrate into any home, the speaker combines elegance with performance, making it a perfect fit for a variety of living spaces. The cabinet is made from hand-finished walnut or wengè wood, paired with a solid die-cast aluminum plate that forms the front baffle and top, ensuring not only an exquisite aesthetic but also reducing resonance for cleaner sound reproduction. At the heart of the Olympica Nova I is Sonus faber’s signature 28mm DAD™ (Damped Apex Dome) silk soft dome tweeter, which provides an incredibly smooth and extended high-frequency response. The tweeter is designed with a solid aluminum die-cast structure that includes both an arch and ring, increasing the strength and precision of the dome, resulting in improved performance across the entire frequency range.

In the midwoofer, the Olympica Nova I uses a unique design that incorporates a fabric-coated dust cap, optimizing the moving surface and maximizing air movement without distortion. The moving coil has been optimized for bass performance, with a longer throw that improves driver excursion and ensures a tight, accurate bass response. The speaker’s structural rigidity is a key design feature, with eight layers of bended wood used to construct the cabinet walls, providing extreme rigidity and reducing unwanted vibrations. Inside, the cabinet features carefully placed structural ribs that reinforce the design and handle the power of the transducers, ensuring clear and stable sound, even at high volumes.

The Olympica Nova I also features Sonus faber’s exclusive Stealth Ultraflex™ system, a low-turbulence porting system inherited from the Homage Tradition models. This system facilitates improved airflow and reduces distortion by controlling the speed of the air moving through the duct, resulting in cleaner, more impactful bass. The Paracross Topology™ crossover, another hallmark of Sonus faber’s engineering, makes the crossover less sensitive to radio-frequency interference, improving transient response and lowering the noise floor for a more immersive listening experience. The crossover network is built with exclusive Clarity Cap capacitors, which have been customized specifically for Sonus faber, ensuring optimal performance and sonic clarity.
