Description

Building on the success of the PULSEmini, the PULSE takes the next step in performance and sound quality, incorporating a range of improvements that raise the bar for what’s achievable in high-performance audio. At the heart of these upgrades is the integration of our newly developed custom RECAP2 LPSU (Linear Power Supply Unit), which has been carefully engineered in collaboration with renowned expert Dr. Sean Jacobs. This power supply is designed to provide optimal performance for the PULSE, ensuring clean, stable power delivery, which is critical for achieving the best audio results.

The RECAP2 power supply is built with the highest quality components to ensure that every detail of the sound is faithfully reproduced. One of its standout features is the use of a medical-grade filtered IEC, which helps eliminate any unwanted noise or interference from the power source. The audio-grade toroidal transformer is another key component, specifically chosen for its superior performance in reducing vibration. The transformer is epoxy-filled at the center to provide additional damping, and its windings are magnetic-shielded with SYN-SHIELD copper tape to further reduce any electromagnetic interference, ensuring a purer audio signal. The transformer is then wrapped in black Mylar Tape to provide extra shielding against environmental factors that could affect performance.

To ensure the RECAP2 LPSU provides the best possible energy storage and smooth power delivery, we’ve incorporated over 40,000 µF of high-end Mundorf capacitors. Mundorf is known for producing some of the finest capacitors available, and their use here plays a pivotal role in reducing ripple and enhancing the overall sound quality. Additionally, the power supply is equipped with a Coilcraft inductor, known for its excellent performance in minimizing noise and improving the smoothness of the current delivered to the rest of the system.

With these carefully selected components, the PULSE, powered by the RECAP2 LPSU, delivers a significant leap in audio fidelity compared to the PULSEmini, offering greater detail, depth, and clarity. This combination of high-quality materials and advanced engineering ensures that the PULSE stands as a benchmark in its class, offering audiophiles an exceptional listening experience.
