Description

The 700 Series incorporates the latest generation of our iconic Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top housing, redesigned with a more elongated form and a longer tube-loading system for even freer, more open high frequencies. The carefully decoupled housing is milled from a single solid block of aluminum, offering enhanced resonance resistance for improved sound clarity.

Purpose-built for the 700 Series, the Carbon Dome tweeters represent a dramatic upgrade over the aluminum double dome, raising the breakup threshold to an impressive 47kHz. This results in pinpoint imaging accuracy and exceptional detail, ensuring an immersive listening experience.

The Continuum™ cone, crafted from a composite material, avoids the abrupt transitions seen in conventional drive units, offering a smoother, more natural performance. This ensures a more open, neutral sound, delivering voices and instruments with unmatched precision and transparency.

Every three-way loudspeaker in the 700 Series is equipped with a dedicated midrange cone that utilizes four key Bowers & Wilkins technologies: the Continuum cone, FST™, Biomimetic Suspension, and midrange decoupling. This design minimizes interference from the bass drivers, ensuring the purest midrange response.

The Aerofoil™ Profile bass cone, developed using advanced computer modeling, features variable thickness for optimal stiffness and rigidity. This design ensures deep, dynamic bass, delivering a full-range sound that brings every element of your music to life.
